First NYC Photo Adventure-Brooklyn Bridge

I have been in NYC for two weeks and have managed not to go crazy with the photos. I have been busy unpacking and working on past photo shoots, so I treated myself to venture out to enjoy a beautiful Saturday afternoon of photographing. I have wanted to walk the Brooklyn Bridge for a long time, and I had a great partner in crime, new friend Andrew Lee. He too was equipped with an SLR and away we went. All I can say is the adventure could not have gone better!! We walked the bridge, capturing some great action shots and finished with a stroll along the river's rocky shore. After a snack and some people watching, we continued on beyond the Manhattan Bridge, where we witnessed a balloon release for all the people who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. It was breath taking to watch as the balloons soared through the blue sky and landed in masses on the shore. Realizing we were in the prime location to capture the tribute lights that would come on at dark, we grabbed a front row seat and enjoyed the sunset. The images will speak for themselves, but the first adventure was definitely a success. Enjoy!
